The Fool
An awkward stand-up routine promoting Christian intelligent design earns Ray Comfort the moniker 'Banana Man' from Professor Richard Dawkins and makes him a target of ridicule for an entire generation of atheists. Yet Comfort has grown accustomed to the glare, turning his banana-based notoriety into a platform for evangelism. Last year he published a book hoping to provide much-needed context for his banana bit, but it didn't deliver. Now he has produced this film to document the same journey. The central flaw of the routine is that dedicating an hour to unpack a horrible analogy doesn't work when the starting point is a horrible analogy.
