The Horse's Mouth
Gulley Jimson is a boorish, aging artist recently released from prison. A calculating swindler in search of his next artistic undertaking, he holes up in the Beeders' penthouse while the would-be patrons are away on an extended vacation; he paints a mural on their wall, pawns their valuables, and, with the sculptor Abel, unintentionally smashes a sizable hole in their floor. Jimson's next project is an even larger wall in an abandoned church.
