The House

After surviving a heart attack, Jovan, a Serbian-born, Germany-based retired architect, resists his daughter's urging to spend his remaining years in a nursing home. Accompanied by his grandson Nikola, who has Asperger's syndrome and limited social contact, he travels back to his homeland, a village in Serbia, to sell the family land, only to become embroiled in a local population's rebellion against a construction mafia that threatens to erase the last vestiges of his homeland.
