The Husbands

Late one night, Lauren returns to her London flat and is greeted at the door by a husband named Michael—the problem is she has never met this man before. As she struggles to understand how she could be married to a stranger, Michael goes up to the attic to replace a lightbulb and suddenly vanishes. In his place, a new husband appears. She realizes her attic harbors a limitless supply of husbands. Confronted with the notion that swapping lives might be as simple as changing a lightbulb, Lauren asks how she can know she has chosen the right path and when she should stop striving to do better and begin truly living.
