The Hypocrite
The Hypocrite offers a provocative examination of a discourse that resonates with people across diverse spheres. Within climate advocacy, it scrutinizes the tension between personal choices and broader systemic efforts. Narrated through the perspective of a professional skier, the film explores the complex balance between championing environmental change and relying on fossil fuels for athletic pursuits. It seeks to unite the outdoor community in a collaborative movement that rises above perceived hypocrisy and the feeling of not belonging. Rather than cultivating a culture of blame and guilt, the work foregrounds the systemic shifts needed to secure a sustainable future. By dissolving the labels that mark individuals as hypocrites, the narrative invites viewers to recognize the urgency of collective action and transformative change.

Sort of addresses the cognitive dissonance that a lot of "climate conscious" outdoor adventure athletes have with participating in activities that further compound on impact to the climate. Creator seems to start out clueless, and comes to the realization that "If I'm not going to change, who's going to?" TL;DR - Keep having fun enjoying what you do, but be conscious, get involved politically, and vote.
