The Legend of Hao Lan

In the waning years of the Warring States Era, Qin and Zhao wage a protracted conflict. Li Hao Lan, daughter of Zhao's Censor-in-chief, is expelled from her home after a treacherous plot engineered by her stepmother. Left with nothing, she is sold into slavery and bought by Lu Buwei, who deftly engineers Hao Lan's marriage to Ying Yiren, a Qin royal held as a hostage in Zhao. Hao Lan and Buwei's presence within the Zhao palace sparks a perilous clash, as they rely on wit to outmaneuver Princess Ya's devious machinations.
