The Nevers
In the closing years of Victoria's reign, London is unsettled by the Touched—people, mostly women, who suddenly manifest extraordinary abilities, some beguiling, some deeply disturbing. Among them are Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair, a brilliant young inventor. They become champions of this new underclass, carving out a home for the Touched while contending with the forces arrayed against them, fighting to make space for those whom history as we know it would rather leave behind.

I had reservations of this at first. But after watching the first episode, I got interested. Then up to the final 2 episodes I was left on the edge of my seat with those surprising twists! The Nevers wasn't a fantasy show, but rather a science fiction series that looked like a fantasy. How they did it was genius! I can't wait for the second half.
