The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking
When a sudden storm swallows her father's ship, the adventurous Pippi Longstocking finds herself stranded with her horse Alfonso and her pet monkey Mr. Neilson. She takes up residence in the old family house, long whispered about by neighborhood children as haunted. Soon Tommy and his sister Anika venture inside, where they cross paths with Pippi and form a friendship. The trio then embarks on a string of adventures, from cleaning the floor with scrubbing shoes to dodging the splunks, to riding a waterfall in barrels, while helping Pippi confront the prospect of being sent to an orphanage. Older children will probably get the most out of this movie.
