During the Battle of Sutjeska, partisan troops endure 24 hours of brutal, concentrated assaults by German forces at Ljubino Grave against the main partisan units. With the wounded and the Supreme Headquarters in the thick of the fighting, they manage to break the encirclement and pull free from the ring that tightens around them.
