The Public Enemy
Two young Chicago miscreants, Tom Powers and Matt Doyle, claw their way from a poverty-stricken upbringing to a life of petty theft, bootlegging, and cold-blooded murder. As their street cred and fortunes rise, they attract pressure from both law enforcement and rival gangs. Although Tom's feared criminal persona coexists with a longing to stay close to his family, brutal gang warfare and a thirst for revenge ultimately pull him away.
