The Seventh Bullet

Although Soviet power is restored in the region, Basmachis continue to pour in from across the border, bringing death and destruction to peaceful villages. One rebel faction is led by Khairulla, positioned against the militsiya chief Maxumov. At first it seems hopeless for Maxumov as the rebels overtake most of his men, winning them over to Khairulla’s cause. With only one option left, he surrenders and attempts to persuade the people that Khairulla has deceived them, turning the soldiers back to the revolution. Later, in pursuit of his foe, he follows Khairulla across a river. He has only one bullet left—the seventh—and he must not miss his target!
