The Storyteller

Tarini, a veteran of Kolkata's printing industry in eastern India, has reached retirement after decades of service. He spends his days at home, having declined his son's invitation to relocate to the United States. Then a friend draws his attention to a help-wanted advertisement for a storyteller in Ahmedabad, western India. Although he never published a book, Tarini used to tell made-up stories to his friends in his youth, and the prospect of a storyteller position in Ahmedabad piques his interest.
