The Sucker
In this Franco-Italian gangster parody, a shopkeeper bound for an Italian holiday is sidelined by a road accident that leaves his car a total loss. The culprit can only salvage his ruined trip by driving an American friend's car on a Naples-to-Bordeaux trek, a vehicle that, as it happens, is packed with contraband—stolen money, jewelry and drugs. The unwitting and involuntary companions in crime soon attract the full attention of the 'milieu'—save for any purely recreational interest.
