An unassuming neighborhood director squares off with a meticulously organized pyramid scheme. Xia Hui Lan, a principled woman who relishes meddling in others' affairs, uncovers, after Wang Xiao Lang's suicide, that the scheme is tightening its grip on the community. With the police at a standstill, she resolves to infiltrate the organization to collect damning evidence. Assistant Chief Inspector Wang Da De, along with a loyal cohort, accompanies her both inside and outside the operation in the pursuit of the mastermind.
