The TV Wheel
Pilot episode for a sketch comedy series featuring a single fixed camera mounted at the hub of a large rotating platform. As the platform rotates, a scene slides into the camera's frame. When the wheel stops, a sketch unfolds within that setting, often framed by artwork or props to achieve a forced perspective. As the scene concludes, the platform resumes rotation, carrying the current scene out of view and bringing a new one into view for the next sketch. Some scenes are self-contained on the platform itself, while others extend into the studio beyond, with additional action visible in the background.
