The Way of Samodelkin

A mystical detective tale set within Moscow's art scene, unfolding as a kaleidoscopic odyssey through places, figures, and strategies in the search for the Author. It traces the mythos surrounding Moscow art from 1980 to 2010. The film is based on the group's text, Inspection Medical Hermeneutics, of the same name, and on the historical research conducted by the film's authors. The production was an experimental, collaborative filmmaking endeavor.
