Torrey Pines
Torrey Pines is a stop-motion animated feature directed by Clyde Petersen. Based on a true story, the film presents a queer punk coming-of-age narrative set in Southern California in the early 1990s. Raised by a schizophrenic single mother, Petersen's life unfolds through a series of baffling, hallucinatory episodes. With a mother driven by visions of political conspiracy and family dysfunction, twelve-year-old Petersen is swept on a cross-country odyssey that will forever transform the family as they know it.
