Jones, a teenager, declines college ambitions and rents a room in a boarding house to sharpen his writing. He soon splits his time between two women—Lisa, a young actress, and Jane, a photographer. When Jane's ex-boyfriend arrives to help her recover from a car accident, Jones comes to realize just how deeply he cares for her.
