A contemporary narrative set in Perth, Western Australia, it follows Anthony Argo, a young Italian-Australian boxer who is pushed to the limit by his Sicilian father-trainer, Joe. Joe longs for his son to achieve the ring success he was denied in his own youth. When Anthony meets Kate, he begins to view his life—and the role of violence—in a new light.
