The card was originally set to be headlined by a flyweight matchup between former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno, who is also a former LFA Flyweight Champion, and Asu Almabayev. However, Almabayev pulled out because of a hand injury and was replaced by Lone'er Kavanagh.
