Utawarerumono
After sustaining serious injuries, Hakuoro loses his memory. An elderly woman and her granddaughter, Eruruu, shelter and nurse him back to health. A peculiar irremovable mask permanently covers his face, and he experiences occasional beastly visions. As he grows accustomed to the village and its inhabitants, Eruruu cares for him while the people who all bear strange ears, with the women also possessing tails, live among nature's reverence. When an altar is desecrated, they are driven to drastic measures to safeguard their lives from the wrath of Mutikapa-sama, the guardian of the forest.
