Welcome Mr. Marshall!
A small Spanish town, Villar del Río, is alerted to the upcoming visit of American diplomats, and its ruling townsmen begin preparations to impress the American guests in hopes of benefiting under the Marshall Plan. To showcase a facet of Spanish culture with which the visiting officials would be more familiar, the Castilian townsfolk don unfamiliar Andalusian costumes, hire a renowned flamenco performer, and redecorate their town in Andalusian style, while awaiting their arrival, which remains uncertain.
