What Life Took From Me is a Mexican telenovela produced for Televisa by Angelli Nesma Medina. It serves as a contemporary remake of the 1983 classic Bodas de odio, originally produced by Ernesto Alonso. In 2003, the first remake, titled True Love, was produced by Carla Estrada. Unlike Bodas de odio and its 2003 remake, this latest adaptation places the story in the present time.
