Fed up with her friends flaunting their relationships, Erika Shinohara, a high school student, spins a fake romance of her own. As her deception begins to crumble, her charming classmate Kyoya Sata agrees to stand in as her pretend boyfriend, seemingly safeguarding her social standing. But the arrangement proves stickier than she expected, revealing that her so-called knight in shining armor is actually a blackhearted prince.
