Sabu and his crew attend the modest funeral for his mother, a pauper's send-off that underscores their precarious world. When Jiro, his brother freshly released from prison, returns home, Sabu makes it clear he is not welcome. Yet Jiro is plotting a major heist: 40 million in cash and drugs, and he lures Sabu and the others to serve as decoys for a price of 50,000 each. The sting yields results, but betrayal erupts almost at once. Sabu learns how scant their promised payout really is and he hides the stolen stash. Jiro and his shady partner push the kids to confess. Meanwhile, their dutiful elder brother Ichiro finds himself squeezed by the town's powerful boss, the owner of the money at stake.
