Wonder Showzen

Wonder Showzen is an American sketch comedy television series that aired on MTV2 from 2005 to 2006. Created by John Lee and Vernon Chatman of PFFR, the program carries a TV-MA rating. The show adopts the format of classic PBS-style educational programming—evoking Sesame Street and The Electric Company—while infusing it with adult-oriented material. Beyond its provocative humor, it satirizes politics, religion, war, sex, and culture through black comedy. Each episode opens with a disclaimer and the sound of a scream, proclaiming that Wonder Showzen contains offensive, despicable content too controversial and too awesome for real children; the stark, ugly, and profound truths it exposes may be soul-crushing to the weak of spirit, and that allowing a child to watch the show reflects poorly on the viewer as a parent or guardian.
