Wuthering Heights
Heathcliff, a youthful orphan, is taken in by the affluent Earnshaw family and comes to reside at their stately estate, Wuthering Heights. There he falls for his kindhearted foster sister, Cathy. The pair form an extraordinary bond that seems unbreakable, but Cathy, succumbing to social expectations, suppresses her feelings and marries Edgar Linton, a wealthy suitor who matches her standing. Heathcliff vows to win her back.
