Jacob Kasdan (born October 28, 1974) is an American filmmaker and actor. He is the eldest son of prolific screenwriter and director Lawrence Kasdan. Jake is best known for directing comedically-driven films such as Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Bad Teacher (2011) and Sex Tape (2014). He is also known for his collaborations with actor Dwayne Johnson, of which there are 4 to date; Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), Red One (2024), and the yet unreleased Jumanji 4 (2026).
