Rupee's rough ride: Dollar demand causes big drop

The rupee had a rough day, dropping to 90.82 per dollar, down 0.58%. This happened because importers wanted more dollars, and the Reserve Bank of India stepped in to help by selling dollars. Sadly, the rupee is still feeling the heat from foreign investors leaving the market, and without good news on trade deals, things look tough ahead.
