Supreme Court clarifies that long tenancy doesn’t mean ownership

The Supreme Court has made it clear: just because you’ve been living in a shop since 1953 doesn’t mean you own it! Tenants must pack their bags and pay rent from 2000 onwards. The landlord's daughter-in-law needs space for her sweets business, and the court says long-term tenants can’t claim ownership. It’s all about permission, not possession!
