Celestial Theme Unveiled for Los Angeles Games
Organizers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics announced Wednesday that "Stars Align" will serve as the official slogan for the upcoming global competition. The LA28 Committee described the phrase as a rallying cry and an invitation for athletes, volunteers, and supporters.
The announcement was made by LA28’s head of marketing, with reporting provided by Brittany Hope for Today in LA on Oct. 28, 2026. The slogan plays on Los Angeles' ties to Hollywood and its nickname as the City of Angels, utilizing a celestial theme consistent with the region's cultural identity.
According to the LA28 Committee, the concept behind the motto is that "the stars align when dedication meets a generational moment." Casey Wasserman, the chairperson and president of LA28, stated that "Stars Align" acts as a call to action for athletes at the peak of their skill, volunteers welcoming the world, and fans cheering from the stands.
