Zimbabwe (ZIM) will host Bangladesh (BAN) in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Harare Sports Club on Wednesday, July 15. The hosts come off a 2-1 win in the ODI series after winning the one-off Test match to start the series.
Zimbabwe have been clinical with both bat and ball in the ODI games they have won and will look to continue their form into the T20I leg of the series as well. This is their first assignment in the format since their impressive T20 World Cup campaign in the early part of the year, where they made the Super 8s after qualifying in dramatic fashion by beating Australia.
Bangladesh will be looking to salvage something from this series after losing the ODI series and the one-off Test match. Their last T20 series was the 3-0 whitewash at the hands of Australia, and they will be looking to put up a better showing. They will be without their skipper, Litton Das, who has joined the Lankan Premier League.
