Bored Hatamoto: The Imposter

Set in the Genroku era, Saotome Shusui-no-Suke, nephew of the senior councilor Matsudaira Sakon Shogen, and known as the Bored Samurai of the Hatamoto rank, finds himself engulfed by boredom until Tokugawa Jo-Kaibo, who claims to be the Shogun's illegitimate child, makes a grand entrance into Edo. At the urging of Sakon Shogen, Shusui-no-Suke is tasked with investigating Jo-Kaibo's background, while his young page Kyoya disguises himself as a woman to infiltrate Jo-Kaibo's gun mansion.
