In a small town, Gail Daughtry is a devoted hairdresser engaged to her loyal high school sweetheart, Tom. Her orderly life is shaken when a trip to a book signing leads Tom to meet and sleep with his own celebrity pass. Reeling from the betrayal, Gail impulsively accompanies her friend Otto on a journey to Los Angeles, where a psychic convinces her that the only way to salvage the marriage is to even the scales with her own celebrity pass: Jon Hamm. What follows is an epic trek through Hollywood as Gail and Otto ally with a talent agency assistant, a paparazzo, and actor John Slattery in their pursuit of Hamm. Along the way they rub shoulders with celebrities and are hunted by a group of Italian assassins as they draw ever closer to the elusive star.
