Golden Chickensss
Kam has worked as a sex worker since she was sixteen, and through the decades she has witnessed Hong Kong’s fortunes rise and fall. Now a seasoned madam, she runs a stable of high-end courtesans and hosts lavish gatherings for wealthy men. She has seen it all. On the surface she embraces the prosperity of the New Hong Kong, but like many middle‑class Hongkongers, she laments the loss of the old city that once belonged to the people. An aging mob boss, Gordon, was jailed before the 1997 Hong Kong handover. His appearance and mindset remain trapped in the colonial era. Recently released from prison, he cannot adapt to the New Hong Kong. His sole source of solace is his old flame, Kam.
