High School Fleet
Coastal living, sea guardianship, and roaming the ocean define the Blue Mermaids. A century ago, tectonic upheaval submerged large portions of Japan, prompting coastal towns to rise into marine metropolises. As sea lanes linked these hubs, a substantial corps was needed to patrol the waters. Concurrently, maritime careers drew more women, turning the Blue Mermaids into a coveted dream vocation for female students. The story follows childhood friends Akeno Misaki and Moeka China as they enroll in Yokosuka marine high school, alongside other girls who share the goal of becoming Blue Mermaids.
