Love Beyond the Grave

Gifted Ghost King He Simu unexpectedly encounters the youthful general Duan Xu during a routine forage, seeking food. This young general bears an artifact linked to someone from He Simu's past and, as a result, seems not to be the genuine Duan Xu. Through a sequence of subtle tests and exchanges, He Simu gradually uncovers the dark past and the ambitions hidden in Duan Xu's heart. In reply, Duan Xu discovers the steadfastness and loneliness that He Simu has endured. Even though mortals live no more than a century and a four-hundred-year-old ghost still bears the appearance of a young girl, they resist the inexorable march of time through their love.
