Following a meteoric ascent and brutal burn-out in Hollywood, Abe, a celebrated bodybuilder, returns home via the 405 to Venice Beach, where it all began. But the beloved boardwalk now feels altered. The sea breeze bites harder, a string of unexplained overdoses unsettles the gym crowd, and peculiar supernatural sightings along the pier hint at a primordial force lurking beneath the sun-dappled Venice. And Jay—his former lifting partner and roommate, the one person he truly abandoned in his pursuit of fame—has vanished, leaving Alice, his ex, to raise their infant son alone.
