Radio Free Roscoe
Radio Free Roscoe is a Canadian teen comedy-drama series filmed in Toronto, Ontario, produced by Decode Entertainment. It premiered on August 1, 2003, on Family in Canada and was later dubbed in French for Quebec audiences, airing on VRAK.TV. In the United States, The N carried the series, which earned funding for a second season. The show concluded on May 27, 2005, after The N halted further funding and Family, alongside Decode Entertainment, could not bridge the production budget gap. It continued to air on Family until 2007, when it was replaced, and The N began rebroadcasting reruns in early 2008. The pilot was first filmed in New Jersey with an entirely different cast. Plans originally slated the series to be based in Nutley, New Jersey under the title Radio Free Nutley. The project was never picked up until Decode Entertainment moved production to Toronto, altering the cast and renaming the show. Nevertheless, the setting remained in suburban New Jersey.
