Sand Serpents
Jason Gedrick and a small unit of Marines are stranded in the remote Afghan desert. It isn't the Taliban that worries them—it's the giant refugees from Tremors. In fact, the enormous worms prove to be unlikely allies, faring better against the Taliban than the Marines themselves. Yet facing these foes remains a challenge their training never prepared them for.
