The Maid

Raquel has served as the live-in housekeeper for a kind, reasonably prosperous family for half her life, and the joyless monotony of the position has begun to wear on her. Increasingly dependent on painkillers, she counteracts her stagnation by pulling pranks and resorting to childish evasions to antagonize the family’s college-age daughter and a revolving door of new staff, all to safeguard her fragile hold on authority in the home. Her mischief drives everyone away, until a new maid named Lucy finally pushes back.
