The Voyage

Ekkapong Saransett, a Songkhla-based artist and film director, presents a moving photo exhibition that serves as a tribute to his late father, a member of the Thai-Chinese diaspora. The piece traces the birth of a fragile life through World War and the Chinese Revolution, beginning by Songkhla Lake. It fuses historical animation with memories and features an accompanying audio work by J Wattankuljarat (JPBS member) to convey a personal history through the sounds of gunfire, the sea, and fireworks. We all begin from somewhere.
