Too Close for Comfort

Too Close for Comfort is an American television sitcom that aired on ABC from November 11, 1980, to May 5, 1983, before continuing in first-run syndication from April 7, 1984, to September 27, 1986. The series was inspired by the British program Keep It in the Family, which premiered nine months before Too Close for Comfort made its U.S. debut. For its final season, the show was retooled and renamed The Ted Knight Show.
