Wallander: The Leak

The apparently random murder of a jogger in the woods and the explosion of car bombs in central Ystad are merely distractions designed to occupy the police while a security van is robbed of 15 million kroner. Isabelle and Portus witness the heist and pursue the criminals, only to be attacked and left hospitalized. Because the security company has a meticulously prepared contingency plan, Wallander suspects an internal leak and focuses on Micke Sterner, a compulsive gambler and the only employee with access to the encoded transit schedules. However, the true breakthrough comes from overworked Svartman’s private investigation, which uncovers the robbers’ hideout, along with Wallander’s suspicions about an ex-cop turned security officer who has ties to the company.
