White Agbada
Ibironke, a Nigerian-American woman whose life feels at a standstill, clings to self-destructive coping mechanisms. Her concerned sister calls with a plan for a family trip to Nigeria for spiritual assistance. Ibironke remains vehemently opposed and continues her damaging patterns—including a casual relationship with an engaged prospective business partner who has a baby on the way. When their post-sex discussion escalates into a confrontation, an ancestor who has dropped Easter eggs throughout her day appears in her mirror, terrifying her. She immediately recognizes this climactic sighting as a radical call for change.
