Beirut-based Hezbollah said on Saturday that its fighters confronted Israeli troops during what it described as an overnight infiltration attempt. The engagement took place at the Ali Taher hills, a strategic elevated area overlooking the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh.
The statement was released by the Iran-backed group on June 20, 2026. Hezbollah claimed that Israeli forces attempted to advance toward the hills under the cover of an existing ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to the report from The Milli Chronicle, Hezbollah alleged that its fighters ambushed the troops. The group stated it engaged them with what it described as "appropriate weapons."
