Judging Amy

Judging Amy is an American drama series that aired on CBS from September 19, 1999, to May 3, 2005. Starring Amy Brenneman and Tyne Daly, the show follows a family-court judge who presides over a range of cases centered on families and children. Beyond the courtroom, many episodes illuminate her life as a divorced mother and the experiences of her mother, a child-welfare social worker. The series draws on the real-life experiences of Brenneman's mother.
