Zatoichi and the Doomed Man

Blind swordsman Zatoichi, briefly jailed, is approached by a fellow inmate who begs him to help prove the latter's innocence of a crime that has earned him a death sentence. Reluctant at first, knowing how such entanglements have brought him trouble before, Zatoichi finds himself drawn in as circumstances conspire to thrust him repeatedly into the case. Gradually he comes to believe the man is innocent and resolves to secure his release.
