The Indian Navy inducted three new indigenous ships into its fleet on June 23, 2026.
According to Akanksha Mishra of Suspense Crime, the induction is intended to strengthen maritime power.
Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of Naval Staff, stated that modern technology has provided a new thrust to construction capability.
The Navy Chief noted they have witnessed "a third successive naval programme with state-of-the-art, advanced, self-sufficient warships being built and then put into service."
Admiral Krishna Swaminathan stated that the induction shows India's capability of building warships using modern technology is gaining new impetus through self-reliance and self-confidence.
