Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned three warships on June 21, 2026. The commissioning took place at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd in Kolkata.
The vessels commissioned were INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhak, and INS Agray.
Ceremony attendees
According to reports from The Times of India, the commissioning ceremony was attended by R. N. Ravi, Governor of West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari, Chief Minister of West Bengal, also attended the event.
Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, served as Chief of the Naval Staff and was present at the ceremony.
